By installing good quality door closers such as Dorma, Ryobi and Geze to your pool access areas, combined with self-latching devices that are reliable, you can create an uninterrupted view to your pool.

These are the areas of your home that have to comply if you wish to use your home as your fence.

• Any doors, swing or sliding, opening out to the pool area must have a self-closing mechanism (door closer) and a self-latching device – this means that these doors MUST BE CLOSED AT ALL TIMES.
• Self-latching devices must be installed at 1500mm from the ground.
• Any windows opening onto the pool area must be restricted to only open 100mm
• Boundary fences must be checked for access
• Any gates allowing access to the pool area must
     Open away from the pool area
     Have a self-closing mechanism installed
     Have a self-latching device installed at 1500mm above ground
